"No problem." I promised. "Now, are you done raiding my kitchen, because I think there's a grape somewhere. . ." I joked.

[Lan]

He frowned and turned around, grabbing a load of cooked sausage and bacon out of the fridge "Forgot about these, Bacon has to be cold to be nice." then he scoffed them all down "Where to know, your command and I serve."

[Becca Williams]

"I'm not really a commander." I smiled,"But, I want you to go get your horse before they sell it. Please."

[Lan]

He frowned "Mandarb would do better to fade back to my home where he can e of use, he is no use here I have discovered that already"

[Becca Williams]

I nodded, "Alright then." I smiled at Lan, he knew what he was talking about. I heard heavy footsteps close to the house, just passing. They smelled so good. My eyes went pitch black and my throat burned like I was swallowing fuelled flames.

[Lan]

He gently bound Becca's arms holding her fast and whispered "Not here Becca, not it broad day light ... hunt tonight but not now. Come back to me as yourself not the hunter in you."

[Becca Williams]

I concentrated on Lan's words and stopped breathing. It was easier like this. I nodded to show that I was okay again, I mouthed, 'thanks'

[Lan]

He still held her until the blood scent was passed before he let her go and closed the windows "Breath again" he said softly.

[Becca Williams]

I trusted Lan to make it easier for me. I took a breath and carried on breathing. I hugged Lan, wrapping my arms around his waist, an unusual reaction, but it was natural. I couldn't not be nautral around Lan. "Thank you."

[Lan]

He looked taken a back but he gently moved her hands a little higher and hugged her back so her arms were around his neck and his around her waist "Much more comfortable on both our parts" he said, he was not much taller than her so it would be.

[Becca Williams]

I laughed. "Yeah," I pulled away and turned to the front room. "Hayles?" I called, "Could you come out here for a sec?"

[Lan]

While she was calling her sister he checked his knives and daggers and found one had rust upon it, taking steel wool he had stolen when he first arrived realising what it did, he began cleaning the blade with it and then whet stoning the edge till it gleamed and would cause a cut on a human with even a light touch.

[Becca Williams]

I laughed as Lan started wire-woolling a knife, that was never used.

[Lan]

He frowned at her and pulled out his whet stone, honing the edge of the blade and the tip. "what is so funny?" he asked softly.

[Becca Williams]

I grinned, but said nothing. Hmm, I guess Hayley'd gone out. I turned back to Lan and couldn't stop myself laughing again. I wandered over to the dining table and sat in one of the chairs.

[Lan]

He frowned and said "What are you laughing out?" a little louder this time, throwing the knife up and catching it over and over.

[Becca Williams]

I composed myself and shook my head. "I don't even know." I admitted, I wondered randomly if I had gone a little crazy.

[Lan]

He shook his head and laughed softly "You are a little bit wrong in the head, now .. this sister of your s ... best get the meeting over while I am on a full stomach .. I am not social on an empty stomach."

[Becca Williams]

I got up and wandered into where I guessed Hayles would've been. The couch was empty and the TV was off. I frowned but threw myself onto the black, leather couch. "Hmm. Guess she went out."

[Lan]

He walked in behind her and sat against the wall where he fell into a light slumber, aware of everything still.

[Becca Williams]

I watched Lan fall asleep, he didn't seem fully asleep, but I hadn't seen anyone sleep for around ten years. It was alien to me, now. Just incase he wasn't, I whispered, "Come sleep on the couch. It's comfier than the floor." I slid off the couch, and onto the floor, leaning against the arm.
What the hell? I was a hypocrite, now.

[Lan]

He opened one eye and then next thing he was on the sofa and he had pulled her up with him, his arms around her from behind he whispered "Hypocrite."

[Becca Williams]

I'd learned that my emotions weren't safe around Lan, so I kept my happiness at his touch, reigned in.I didn't anticipate that I would feel that way. I started to worry. I grimaced as he spoke my thoughts."Sorry I guessed you'd need the room." I gestured to the not-so-big black leather sofa.

[Lan]

He laughed softly "I am muscle and bone, very little else.. you are the woman, women tend to need a little more space." he said with a small laugh.

[Becca Williams]

I laughed too and shuffled away, sliding off the couch. "Vampires don't tend to notice the comfiness of things. I could sit on a bed of knives and it wouldn't bother me." I smiled
