"I.. I can what?!" I asked, confused. There was certainly no danger of me not being cautious. I wasn't going to use it in fear of destroying Earth ?

I nodded slowly. "You are going to help me with this, right?" I asked, my voice full of doubt. Doubt about what ithis whole thing meant. and Doubt about the amout of responsibility I now had.

"I will tell you when I believe you are pushing the boundaries but I myself cannot channel and if I could I would not channel the same way you do, I wouldn't even know you were drawing on the one power though I can say this, never try to draw heat IN with the one power, always use the water in the air to put it out."

"The car." I corrected, with a smile. I got innto the driver's seat and started the engine. I let the car idle whiile I waited for my new guardian.

He removed his sword belt and opened the door slowly, still wary of the thing he sat in the seat. He then lay the sword of Malkier bare across his lap, the tip pointing at the door, his hand on the long hilt.

I was aware of his wariness. I didn't think he'd ever been in a car before. I pulled away from the sidewalk, slowly, then I started at my normal speed.

Lan's hand tightened on the sword hilt till his knuckles were white, he closed his eyes feeling .. odd ... the thing made him feel almost like he had motion sickness..

The guy looked like he was about to be sick. I slowed my car down to a crawl.

I started the car again and drove at the speed of a human, abiding by traffic laws. I don't think Cheif Swan would appreciate pulling me over for speeding and then finding a guy with a sword in my passenger seat.

"Well, for one, you look as if you're about to throw up. And two, I'm not sure I'd like Chief Swan's reaction to speeding as well as having a passenger who owns a sword." I smiled.

He frowned "Speeding? how can they limit the speed of this ... car...?" Then he grimaced "Owning a sword is my birth right and if this .. Chief swan wishes to dispute it he can dispute it with steel crafted with the one power."

I shook my head. "No, if you ever need to know anything, just ask." I smiled. "Okay, so traffic is the vehicles on the road, cars, trucks, busses or motorcycles. And, well, the laws are like the rules of how to behave while driving." I explained, hoping that was a good enough explaination.

"Usually, we can drive as fast as we like. My sister aand I, like other vampires, have amazing reflexes. We can also worm our way out of trouble if we have to." I smiled. "Plus, we like cars.People would start to suspect if we ran everywhere instead of driving, too."
I decided to surprise him again, hopefully taking his mind off the road. I flicked a switch and the roof folded back quietly.

He nodded then when he heard a strange noise he looked up to see the covering between himself and the sky was gone, he leapt up onto the seat, sword ready in the first form at this side. "Who did that? who desecrates this .. thing."

I pulled him back down into his seat, laughing. "Look, it's that switch." I pointed to the right one. "That made the roof fold back."
