He shook his head and gently pulled her back onto the couch "And what if I feel better with you next to me?" he asked softly.

[Becca Williams]

I grinned playfully," And do you feel better with me next to you?"

[Lan]

"Yes" he said softly "So much more than even our bond could tell you." he smiled playfully and nipped her ear "So much more." the he settled to sleep with his arms around her waist from behind and his head on her shoulder.

[Becca Williams]

I frowned as I assessed and reassessed his words, looking for the punchline. When I came up short for the seventh time, I closed my eyes, half pretending to sleep, half letting my mind wander.

[Lan]

When dawn came he woke, looking at Becca "Good morning" he said softly then sighed "God got your .. school today haven't we?"

[Becca Williams]

"Good morning," I yawned, grinning. "Yep." I sighed too. And wormed my way out of his hold, until I was standing on the couch, ready to jump. "Well, better not go in the same clothes I wore yesterday. People would wonder where I slept." I said, raising and dropping my eyebrows a few times, after I turned to look at him. I laughed,

[Lan]

He frowned "And am I to go in my mail and boiled leather armour, I have passed through two realms to here. I was a brother of the Night's watch in the north and before that a warder, all I had except my blacks is gone .. I have my black velvets though."

[Becca Williams]

I grinned and leapt off the couch, landing next to the stairs. "Of course not. I took a little detour the other day and stopped off at the mall. You have a whole new wardrobe upstairs."

[Lan]

He frowned "For today I would feel more comfortable in the velvets .. just a coat and britches in soft black velvet with short boots, hobbed soles ..."

[Becca Williams]

I sighed and shook my head. "You really don't think that I know you at all, do you?" I laughed and walked backwards up the stairs. "Just come look."

[Lan]

He followed her a little sullenly. He wasn't pleased at basically being told no to what had once been his feast clothes as a black brother.

[Becca Williams]

I could tell he wasn't happy, I sighed and turned around, and walked up the remaining stairs the right way. I led the way into the spare room and stood, waiting.

[Lan]

He walked in after her scowling then sighed "You are right .. velvets .. in your world don't work ..."

[Becca Williams]

"Not really," I admitted. "But.." I smiled, hoping he wouldn't mind. "I bought some especially. had them custom-made. They are made of the same material as your clothes, although they look completley normal." I pulled the doors of the wardrobe open.

[Lan]

He looked at the clothes and pulled out a shirt and trousers before donning them, there in front fo her stripping off until he was naked before redressing in the black velvet then he donned his high neck coat from his feast clothes, it's collar up to his neck where a sword pendant was pinned on with a crow on the blade, pinned to either side of his neck and coiled dragons at the cuffs.

[Becca Williams]

I looked around the room as he changed, not wanting to be rude.

[Lan]

He coughed subtly to let her know he was dressed "You need not look away, I care little for modesty. It is a false thing."

[Becca Williams]

I laughed when he coughed, and looked back. "Well, us vampires are easily distracted, so I thought it better to look away."

[Lan]

He grinned "Perhaps I wanted to see if my body would distract you so, I know vampires well. You are generally distracted when somebody you are physically attracted to is naked or touches you."

[Hayley Williams]

I got downstairs my hair in a quick ponytail and my black dress on. My white heels were shining cause they were brand new.

[Lan]

Lan heard movement down stairs and leapt over the bed in the spare room, grabbing his sword from it's sheath and leapt down the stairs, wheeling into the living room sword ready.

[Hayley Williams]

'' Beccs where is my cat? i lost it again '' hayley cried.

[Lan]

He slipped silently up behind the girl and placed the sword to the back of her neck, the power wrought sword made of the only metal capable of penetrating vampire skin "Who are you?" he growled.

[Hayley Williams]

'' what the hell? I am Becca's sister freak get your pointy thing away from me '' hayley turned around quickly. She stood against the wall her eyes focused on the guy.

[Lan]

HE lowered his sword slowly "I am sorry .. I am Lan ... Becca's Warder." he said grimly, his slate grey eyes focused on the girl, hi shard features showing no emotion.
