"I moved here.. two days ago." I grinned. "My mom left when I was three months, and my dad, well my dad's just..." I struggled for the right words. "So, I left and came here."

Aria blushed slightly. She wasn't used to getting complimented... She wasn't really used to talking to anyone actually.

I laughed quietly and finished the slice. "So, what about your family?"

Aria looked up and shrugged. "Both my parents are dead and I have no siblings. Novell is my family."

Aria smiled, sensing his awkwardness. "It's fine," she told Ollie. "They died, like, the day I was born. I don't even remember them. I've been in and out of orphanages and FosterCare my whole life." She chuckled and continued, "I'm used to it now; it's been that way my whole life."

I smiled back at her and took a bite of pizza, still feeling a little awkward, but a little reassured that I didn't bring back hugely terrible memories. "My dad always told me to think of my mom as dead. I couldn't do it."

Aria chuckled. "I'm sure you dealt with it the best you could," she said reassuringly. She looked from the baby, to Ollie, and back at the baby with an idea to hopefully lighten the mood a bit. "Do you want to hold Novell," she asked with a bright smile.

"Surprisingly, I don't," she said with a grin, picking up Novell. She handed the baby to Ollie, watching his reactions carefully, but not worrying.

I held Novell carefully, worried. I had no brothers or sisters so I'd never held a baby. I shifted my hand to rest her head. I looked up at Aria then back to Novell. I was kinda worried I'd drop her.

"Quit being so paranoid! Have a little faith," Aria chukled, adjusting how he held Novell a little and smiling at him encouragingly.

I laughed and looked at Novell. I smiled at her I expected her to start crying. But I forgot about it, Aria told me to quit being paranoid. i laughed again.

I noticed that I was gently rocking Novell automatically. "That doesn't sound fun," I pointed out, with a half-smile at Aria.

Aria chuckled at Ollie's unconsious rocking. "Well that's life. It's not gunna change anytime soon. Well actually at the end of October, the results for my request to get emancipated should get in," she said, a twinkle springing to her eye.

Ollie smiled. "I hope you get it," He leaned across the table and rested Novell back in her carseat. Despite Aria's relaxation, Ollie was still paranoid. "You deserve it. Both of you."

"She more than me," Aria said with a small smile. "And thank you. It's nice to know that there's someone who cares what I do." She laghed softly at his paranoia and leaned back on the seat, finishing the last bite of her crust.
