Lunch with Lan

[Becca Williams]

I drove my green car into the parking lot of Forks Diner. I was wearing my favorite green dress. It was strapless and just above the knee. I loved it, it was an unusually warm day, warm, not sunny. I parked right next to the door, there was no one around. I wondered if it was open. I got out and walked the small space to the door, my heels hitting the concrete in an even rhythm. Yep, it was open, they just had no customers. I wandered in and took a seat at a table for two in the corner.

[Lan]

Lan arrived minutes later wearing his leather doublet which hid his mail shirt underneath, he had his sword belt but not the sword or scabbard and he was wearing loose fitting black jeans, he sat across from Becca and simply said "Hey"

[Becca Williams]

I smiled, praising his new sense of clothes. "Hey, I figured you'd need some food and you cleaned us out yesterday," I laughed.

[Lan]

He nodded and looked at the menu "So umm .. you order from this .. piece or parchment?" he asked softly.

[Becca Williams]

I nodded. "Yep, well, you choose what you want to order from it. Then the waitress comes over and you tell her."

[Lan]

He nodded and pulled out the wallet Becca had given him with the large sum of money then looked at the menu, called the waitress over and ordered everything except the mushroom pie. he looked at Becca with a small grin "What? I'm hungry." then he looked at the waitress "Oh and only lightly sear the 4 steak slices, I want them rare, seriously rare, still bleeding."

[Becca Williams]

The waitress looked a little freaked out, but I burst out laughing at her expression. I pushed Lan's wallet away and turned to the waitress. "Set up a tab, please."

[Lan]

He frowned then said "Tab as in debt right, I'll have double of everything then..." he grinned "I'll probably take most of it home anyway, run out of food." he explained.

[Becca Williams]

I grinned as the waitress's expression became even more stunned. I quickly explained, "He hasn't eaten for a few days. Almost a week. We were travelling and we run out of food."

[Lan]

He shrugged "I let her have the lasts of the rations." he said playing along "First town we've come across since Seattle where we couldn't afford more food....."

[Becca Williams]

"but, then we won a scratchcard and now he can eat whatever he likes." I said, carrying on his sentence.

[Lan]

The waitress left and he shrugged at Becca "I'm hungry ok?" he said just in case then when the first round arrived he lay into it, desimating it by the time the next 4 plates arrived.

[Becca Williams]

I sat back in the comfy booth-seat and watched him eat, fasinated.

[Lan]

When the last round came he finished it all and grinned, burping into his hand "Mmm puddings ..." he said then ordered 3 of all the puddings.

[Becca Williams]

I laughed, seeing that he'd left nothing on his plate, well on any of them. I picked up another menu. "You into alcohol?"

[Lan]

"HA! And a triple distilled, double iced vodka rum mix with a mixed in rum vodka shot to boot!" he looked at Becca and grinned "Alcohol and me, go together like a house on fire!"

[Becca Williams]

I laughed, "As long as you don't set the house on fire after you've had a few." I called the waitress over and ordered two of everything on the spirits menu.

[Lan]

He grinned "Takes around an entire breweries worth of King's Landing vodka to even make me tipsy."

[Becca Williams]

I laughed and the waitress came over, worrying that I wouldn't be able to pay her everything we owed. I laughed and pulled my purse around, opened it and showed her the wad of cash inside. "Told you we won a scratchcard." Then, the waitress explained that they were waiting for a delivery from their supplier and that they only had vodka shots. I sighed dramatically and ordered ten vodka shots.

[Lan]

He leaned across the table, it had been three days since they agreed to act as lovers and for the sake of the boys from the school walking in he kissed her before downing all the shots in a few seconds, then sighing merrily after "Not as strong as the watch's shots but enough."

[Becca Williams]

I was a little stunned, and confused, as Lan kissed me, but I soon realised his reason. Matt and his 'posse' came in, loudly. Matt threw a glance at us -it seemed a bit... I didn't know the word-. I drank my shots at the same time as Lan, but shuddered. It was easy to forget that human food and drink was absolutley appalling, when you were having this much fun.

[Lan]

He kissed her again when Mett looked a second time, holding the kiss. He was enjoying kissing her truth be told.

[Becca Williams]

I smiled into the second kiss and made it look a little more real. As if we were actually lovers. Matt looked away quickly.

[Lan]

He leaned back and whispered "The forkroot is working, I told you it would."

[Becca Williams]

I grinned as I watched Matt in my peripheral vision. He was muttering something unintelligible, even to these ears, and was scowling at us every now and again.
