First day

[Ellie Taylor]

I walked in the big doors of Forks high school, There was lots of people moving around. I wandered to the front desk to collect my papers, I looked at them and thought to myself *English, Great* I checked what room and wandered around the big school trying to find it, I was pretty lost.

[Becca Williams]

I skipped up to the new girl -everyone was buzzing about her- with Lan. "You lost?" I smiled.

[Ellie Taylor]

"Yes" I said and looked up to the girl.

[Becca Williams]

"Let me guess.... You've got.... biology now?" I grinned.

[Lan]

Lan stood behind Becca,his slate grey eyes flickering everywhere as he stood arms behind his back hand clamped around his own wrist,his expression grim, the high collared black velvet coat covered from the tops of his thighs to his chin as his black trousers covered his legs, on his feet he wore a pair of steel toe capped catepillar boots.

[Ellie Taylor]

"Yes" I said my eyes flickering between them both. "Oh and my names Ellie" I said holding my hand out forgetting how cold it was.

[Becca Williams]

I reached behind Lan's back and held one of his hands, reassuring. It felt like a reflex now. I used my other hand to shake Ellie's "I'm Becca." I couldn't feel any heat coming off her, so she wouldn't notice the coldness of my hand, whether she was a vampire or a very vold human, I didn't know because there were humans everywhere, so her heartbeat could be mixed in with those, and I always held my breath in school.

[Lan]

Lan looked at Becca an dstood, his chin held high, his nostrils flaring, he sensed her well her confusion and simply said in such a soft tone no human would here "Vampire, cold, doesn't smell human, can't pick out the heart beat." his tone cold and strained before he went silent again.

[Ellie Taylor]

" It's nice to meet you" I said and looked around then back to both of them.

[Becca Williams]

"Same here," I smiled. "This is Lan and your next class is right over there." I pointed to the right door.

[Lan]

Lan looked at her, his expression resolute "How old are you?" he asked in a cold tone.

[Ellie Taylor]

I was a little confused, "16, why?" I asked. I then looked to the door she had been pointing at. "Thanks" I added.

[Lan]

He then growled out the words "How long have you been 16, honestly." he was probing to see if his assessment had been correct.

[Ellie Taylor]

"A while" I said and sighed.

[Lan]

Then he lowered his voice so no human would hear ti "So you're a vampire like Becca, I'm a hybrid, half vampire half human."

[Ellie Taylor]

"Yes" I said looking to him.

[Lan]

He nodded then fell silent, standing just behind Becca protectivly, his eyes flickering from pint to point again.

[Becca Williams]

I just watched silently. I smiled at Ellie and squeezed Lan's hand.

[Lan]

He looked down at Becca and kissed the top of her head gently and wrapped his arms protectivly around her.

[Ellie Taylor]

"Well I better go hand these into class, will I see you at break?" I asked flicking my eyes between them, the other students and the classroom door.

[Lan]

He nodded grimly "No doubt you will, it's hard to not see us at breaks."

[Ellie Taylor]

I laughed and turned around heading for the class room.

[Becca Williams]

I laughed as the bell rang. "We'll come find you. Guide you to your next lesson."

[Lan]

He began walking with Becca down the corridor, they would return at the end of their lesson ready to take her to her next lesson, he scowled.

"What's wrong?" I asked, walking down the hall with Lan.
