Waiting

[Lan]

Lan sat waiting for Becca to return, he had managed to dive her car back to the house and park it and he was sat, rising to his feet he began pacing, waiting for her.

[Becca Williams]

A few hours after my phone call to Lan, I walked back home, straight up the stairs and to my room. At least he wouldn't worry if I was home. I threw the small pieces of my phone onto the side and dumped myself on my bed.

[Lan]

Lan ghosted upstairs and stood in her door way "Becca Sedai, if you wish I shall leave." he said softly and sadly.

[Becca Williams]

"No," I said, into my knees, which were now curled up in front of me.

[Lan]

"Then what is it you want me to do Becca Sedai, if you ask I will fall on my sword, if you ask I would murder a hundred people for you but I will not be here tormenting you somehow." he said grimly. his tone hard as steel.

[Becca Williams]

"It's not you," I complained, my head feeling as if I would pass out any second.

[Lan]

"Then please, pray explain Becca Sedai why I feel like thunder is coming down the bond into my head, what is it that roils your mind and thoughts so?

[Becca Williams]

"It's just so damn confusing!" I said, pushing my knees down flat and moving so that there was a space for Lan.

[Lan]

He moved over and sat beside her, wrapping his arms around her "Filter it all out, just focus on what you want to figure out, use our bond, use the emptiness in my mind."

[Becca Williams]

I did as he asked, figuring out my blank spots. There was still one, impossible blank.

[Lan]

He smiled softly "that's it now focus on one thing at a time, one problem, one emoition. Just one."

[Hayley Williams]

I was upstairs and i heard the man's voice. Damn did he know where they lived? yuck! I opened my window. I knew they would see me so i jumped out and ran into the forest until i arrived at church.

[Becca Williams]

I shifted slightly so that my arms were in my lap, my legs crossed infront of me and my head bowed. I did as he asked, focused on my one remaining blank spot. My feelings for Lan. "Is it love?" I asked in a small voice.

[Lan]

He focused on the emotion coming through the bond, it matched his own regarding her and he nodded slowly and whispered "Yes.."

[Becca Williams]

I nodded infantismally. I'd thought it would be. Does this make everything more complicated. Yes. Do you wish you didn't love him, Becca? No.

[Lan]

He smiled softly and said in a smooth, warm tone "Well this simplifies things.... our relationship that wasn't is now a relationship then? like a proper one ..."

[Becca Williams]

"Simplifies?" I asked, still in the small voice. "In that sense, yeah. But in other ways.."

[Lan]

HE grinned "And in others, ok Hayley may make it hard .. but we can get around that .. I can get her forgiveness eventually .."

[Hayley Williams]

'' really? '' she asked leaning against the wall.

[Becca Williams]

My head snapped up to see Hayley, my eyes full of begging.

[Lan]

He looked up and said softly "It is either that or another option Hayley, I have no wish to be enemies."

[Hayley Williams]

'' well too bad for you '' hayley said.

[Becca Williams]

"Hayley," I started with a sigh. I squirmed out of Lan's hold and over to Hayley, pushing her down the stairs and outside, closing my door behind me. I Pushed her all the way until there was a safe distance from the house.

[Hayley Williams]

'' what do you want from me becca '' hayley asked not wanting to be here.

[Becca Williams]

"Look, I know he didn't exactly make a good impression on you, but he matters to me, so even if you hate his guts, can you at least act like you don't?"
